Not much to say about me, I'm a bit of a strange happy go lucky girl.

Sonntag and an injury.

Hallo, everyone!

So today I slipped down the stairs and hurt myself , so I didn't go to school. I got my grandmothers grace. But I'll be fine, I napped and am mostly just bruised now.

So on sunday we went to a restaurant/brewery on the Rhine river, we waited there for Manfred because he decided to bike there.

(A few pictures of the Rhine.)

(A picture of the restaurant/brewery. I don't know if it was a real castle or not.)

After Manfred got there we ate, they even had menu's in english, which was great because then I knew what I was ordering.

(My menu.)

After we ate, I had schnitzel with fried onions (not onion rings, unfortunately they don't make onion rings here) and fries, we went to a castle. Of course I got lots of pictures.

The castle is on a cliff/hill next to where the Rhine  and the Mosel rivers meet. I even got a picture of the spot where they meet.

(Lovely, huh?)
We actually drove up to the castle and took the cable car next to the castle down across the Rhine. Here's some pictures I took from the cable car.

(The other side of the Rhine.)

(A better picture of the other side of the Rhine.)

(Part of the castle.)

(Another part of the castle.)

(A most of the castle.)

(There was a sort of glass table in the middle of our car and we could see beneath us. So here's some treetops.)

(And on the other side of the river was  the statue of the last king german king.)

On the other side we looked at, and climbed up, the statue, and I got the picture of where the rivers meet.
Here's the pictures I took.

(Another picture of the statue.)

(The castle.)

(Some buildings. And the rivers.)

Here's the pictures I took when we went up on the statue.

(Behind the statue.)

(The side.)

(The castle.)

(Inside the statue, it looked like the corridors in Hogwarts. Ignore the tourist.)

And then we took the cable car back up and actually went in to the castle. I didn't take as many pictures but here's what I did take.

(The view was nice.)

(And this part of the castle looked like something from a zombie movie.)

That's all for now!

Diese Woche

Hi everyone!

I went to the kindergarten that Susanne works at. I never went to kindergarten, so it was fun.
\
(I drew this lovely bird.)
I played a game with one of the girls and she seemed to decide I was her best friend. She was really cute and kind of reminded me of one of my little cousins. I liked how it didn't matter that I didn't understand them and they didn't understand me but as long as I smiled and looked impressed they were happy.

(One of the girls drew me this, I swear I haven't gained that much weight.)

Yesterday I went with my class to Frankfurt we took the train and to me honest I freaked out a little, because I had no idea when to get off and I couldn't get a seat with anyone in my class. I was okay though, a few of my classmates were close enough that I could follow them when they got off. We went there to see 'The Physicist'. It was in German so I did understand what they said, but I looked it up beforehand so I at least knew what it was about. The acting looked, but I think the most interesting thing was that the set was upside down.

Hallo, again.

Hi everyone. I'm sorry I haven't posted for two weeks. I was a little sick two weeks ago on tuesday, but after some sleep and alphabet noodle soup I quickly recovered. Alphabet noodle soup heals all.

Last weekend I went shopping with the Droste's on Saturday (the 27th of August), I tried on a dirndl (which is a traditional German dress, the kind girls wear for Oktoberfest). I didn't buy it or take any pictures because I didn't like the colors but I'm going to get one that I like and I will post pictures once I get it.

(A dirndl.)

On the 26 I went with Susanne and Manfred to the annual flea market in the city. Which was large and very crowded. I didn't buy anything, but Susanne got some new scarves.
I was here a month on the 5th, and we had a little cookout to celebrate.

Over this weekend we went to Manfred's parents house, where we slept in an old barn.

It was fixed up, so there are two little rooms up in the loft where hay would be stored if it was still used for animals and such. And they are heated, which was very nice. Birte and I shared on room, the window on the far right is a part of it and Susanne and Manfred had the on with the window on the far left next to the little door.
Manfred's mother seemed surprised at how small I am, I'm pretty sure she expected me to be taller and heavier.
I only get internet there either from inside Manfreds brother's house or right outside it.
I met Manfred's parents, his brother Oliver and his wife Miriam and their daughters, I can't remember their oldest daughter's name but they have the most adorable baby, Luisa. We went to Susanne parents and we went to Manfreds sister's house, where Birte and I play with play-doh with his nephews.
I also met Susanne's grandmother and her aunt. She gave Birte and I both 5€, I would have refused or tried to but I didn't know how.

In other news my backpack started falling apart, I plan to get a new one sometime this week.

I also need to get money because I can't use my credit card most places.

And I think that's all for now.
Here's a current picture of me, you probably didn't notice but I don't have to wear my retainer during the day any more. I've also been thinking about getting my haircut  but I'll probably wait until I'm back in america and can tell the stylist how I want it. Also making conversation with a stylist is awkward  enough when you speak the same language.
I'm going to try to post at least weekly. Love you all.Tschüss
