We got back from Italy last night. Since we were there a week and I took a lot of pictures so I'm going to break the week down into several posts. So here's day one, the journey there.
We started on the way to Italy at 3am Saturday. I half slept until we got to Switzerland which was mostly driving through tunnels under the mountains. However when we weren't going through tunnels it was beautiful. It was snowing and looked like a Christmas card. Unfortunately I accidentally deleted the pictures I took, so Susanne let me have the pictures she took.
I tried to turn them right side up but I can't figure out how to do that on here.
After several hours we got to Italy. Our first stop was a grocery store/shopping center to get food and stop for lunch. And this is what I got.
They were delicious. Then we drove for hours. The scenery was beautiful at least.
Our second stop was the beach. I didn't think to take my camera so these are the pictures Susanne took again.
It was very pretty, and then we walked around looking for a place to get ice cream.
It was a very pretty town. And we finally got to Larciano a small old town in Tuscany where we were going to stay for the week.
The door of our house.
The room Birte slept in.
Stairs.
Manfred and Susanne's room.
The deck.
One of the bathrooms.
The living room.
The kitchen.
I slept here, the bed folded out.
After we finished unpacking we walked around the town and watched the sunset. It all looked like something from a movie.
There were cats everywhere.
Cats. EVERYWHERE. (I miss my baby.)
The sunset was beautiful.
