First we went to The Castle of Runkel, an old castle near Limburg. I took lots of pictures. so this update will be mostly pictures.
(The outer gate. It's pretty big.)
(According to the paper this is the dwelling-house and stables. Some people actually live in the part on the right.)
(A model of the castle.)
(And the other side.)
(I think this is the Main dwelling house.)
(I like this.)
(Can you tell?)
(Lovely view from one of the prison cells.)
(Looking out the front of the castle. There are peasants on the bridge.)
(Another one, no peasants this time.)
(From the tower. Looking up the river.)
(From the tower looking back over the rest of the castle.)
(The other tower. Not very interesting.)
(The castle [?] across the river. According to Manfred the to castles would try to shoot at each other but nothing ever hit because the weapons were not very effective at the time.)
(Another picture of the bridge and some peasants.)
Hannah left for the US today, I wish her a safe trip and hope she has fun.
(Goodbye peasants.)
